My sweet Lilly?

So my sweet Lilly has been playing a funny game lately. She calls me her "Grandma" and talks about her other life. She says that her mom has white legs and pink hair and is really mean sometimes. She says she gets grounded if she eats cheese. Okay whatever. So I play along with her and listen to her fine tune her lying skills. It got out of hand yesterday. We are in the store and she tells the check out guy that I am her grandma and her mom lives in Mexico. The checkout guy says "Wow you look great for being a Grandma." So if I look great for being a grandma that must mean I look like crap for being a mom? I didn't dare tell the guy I was her mom. I just went along with my sweet Lilly's lie.

So...this thing with Lilly is so funny because at about the same age, Katyanna used to have an alternative Grandma (which is funny since she doesn't have ANY grandma) She lived in a house in California, always had lots of jewelry and was always hiding it for Katyanna to find. She had alternate brothers and sisters who were "different" and Katyanna would visit this person daily. She even had a second mom (that really went well with me!) She would come in the room and ask me if I missed her because she was in CA visiting her Grandma. She would tell total strangers about this Grandma and how wacky she was - people would look at me like I was the wacky one! I blame Dora - dont know why, but that was what Katyanna liked to watch on TV and she had to be getting these crazy ideas somewhere!!! Too Funny, I think you look GREAT for a mom or a grandma (take it from a Mom and Grandma who knows!!) Kirsten

That is too funny! Lilly is such a cutie! Mom could have related a little to your story...people were always telling her how cute her granddaughter (Sarah) was!
