I just found out about this website. Some of you may already know about it...but if not check it out. I thought the name of the website was genius. I saw her book at Costco and now want to go back and get it. She has some great snack ideas and the low down on new healthy foods. She sends out updates and newsletters. If you sign up put my name as how you found out. They are giving prizes out to the 500,000 person to sign up and to the person who referred you. It doesn't cost a thing. Go check it out.

32 years young today!

Happy Birthday to my best friend and sister. As you can see we look like complete opposites but we couldn't be more alike. We finish each other sentences, married guys that are wired the same (in all ways when I say that. You get the picture), and we think alike for the most part. We are just different enough to be a great balance to each other. Some of my favorite things about my sister are:
She is the most thoughtful person
She is fun to be with
She is a great mom-likes to tease her kids with my kind of humor.
Always up for a pedicure
Always has an ear for me when I melt down
Doesn't judge people
Very creative and willing to help me with my projects
We can have a great bitch session and I know that what is said will never leave the room

I could go on, but she knows why I love her. I guess it helps that I am immature for my age. Lo- Love ya-Glad you are all mine and I don't have to share you with another sister.

My Life in a nut shell

My friend brought this over to me the other day. It is so me except for the kitchen part. I would change that to running the kids to activites. I'm sure many of you can relate. I thought it was cute.

Abby rocked the house

Abby had her last tournament of the season. They walked away taking first place in their division. Not without a fight I might add. They had 2 games on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. Their last game on Sunday they were so tired but they were playing the championship game so they had to step it up. It went into triple overtime. Yes, triple overtime. Everyone was on their feet cheering. It was great. I felt so happy for Abby. She played well and had between 6 and 10 points every game. She has been so dedicated and that makes me proud. Abby I love you and love to watch you play the game. It makes me smile. You make me smile. I love you! These pictures are of her shooting the ball. She thought they were really cool. So do I.

I dig these things

I love most of the morning star products so when these came out I gave them a try. Love them! They are on sale at Fry's this week 3 packs for $8.00. They are so good to heat up in your microwave and then eat them with some salsa. Low cal, Low fat and tasty!

What was in the boxes?

This is what was in the boxes. We also got 2 big dressers but I couldn't fit them in the picture. Abby is now sharing a room with Amelia. She is being a real sport about it. Abby has always had her own room up until now. Since we are not moving she has to share. Before the 3 little girls shared a room. Anyways, I think it will be good for them to share. I shared a room and bed with my sister until I moved out. We are so close and I am sure that had something to do with it. We are 9 years apart so she was exposed to things at an early age by sharing a room with me. She was taught by the best how to sneak out, or have a boyfriend sneak in. ( I kept it rated G- I wasn't hoe- just liked to hang with my boyfriend.) So, I can only hope that good will come out of this. It has been 24 hours and no cat fight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Can't believe I would ever have to blog about this

The only reason I am going to blog about this is to remind everyone what can happen. Yesterday when we got home from running errands I started doing some work in the garage. All of the kids were getting out of the car and going inside. Or so I thought. I finished up and closed the garage and went in. Josh was on the computer and I heard the girls upstairs. I started to make dinner, I went on the computer myself, made and phone call and then the next thing I know Lilly came walking in from the garage crying. She kept saying why did you leave me in the car? I was calling your name. Well, I didn't know she had been left in the car. She was in the hot car for close to 35 minutes. She was burning up and her hair was soaked. She had tried to get out but locked the car door acidently. She was smart enough to open the garage to give her some light to get the car unlocked and opened. You can't imagine how I feel. I have not been able to sleep at all. I just feel sick. So, let you learn from this. Make sure everyone gets out of the car. It is so easy for this kind of thing to happen.

Too much swimming

Rachel swam too much yesterday and by the evening she could barley open her eyes. I thought these pictures were really funny. She said everything was blurry. I asked her if she thought she was going blind. Wrong thing to say to a tired out little girl. It took me a half hour to convince her that wasn't going to happen.

June 3rd

This is what my front entry has looked like since June 3rd. My husband has been telling me he is going to put this furniture together. It goes in the girls room and they are antsy. We have been waiting and waiting. I finally called someone to come deal with it on Friday. Marc, I think your a stud even if you aren't a handy man. Give it up baby!

Dance Recital

The girls had their dance recital over the weekend. Boy, it was crazy good. It makes me so happy to watch them up there dancing their little hearts out. I always want to cry just because I can't believe that it is my kid that is up there. I just feel so proud. Amelia has been dancing for about 4 years now. It is what she lives for. She has such passion for it. I think it is so cool that at such a young age she has found passion for something. Sometimes I feel like I am still searching for something to have as much passion for. Abby tried hip hop for the first time this year. Her and Paige decided to step out of their comfort zone and try something new. I was shocked that they went through with it. Abby has always been about basketball so I know how hard this was for her. She stuck it out, and liked it. She did really good. Paige and her have decided to stick with the hip hop and are going to continue the class. Way to go girls. I Love you!!!

My Diva's

While dad is away the girls will play. We headed over for 5 pedicures on Friday. It was the first time for the girls and they are officially addicted. I hope Marc has a phat wallet from here on out. His girls are going to cost him an arm and a leg. Marc and Josh went to California for the weekend. They did the boys weekend. We all had fun doing our own thing. I just love being with my girls. They all are so dedicated to shopping, pampering themselves and going to the movies. What more could a mom ask for?

That's why my table is scratched

I couldn't figure out why my table was getting scratches all over it. Well, you can see now how they got there. Maggie hops up on the table when we leave and looks out the front window. What does your pet do when you are gone? I'm sure they don't just lay there and sleep like you think.

We're in the money$$$$$

We had a garage sale early Saturday morning. We pretty much got rid of everything we don't or haven't used at our house in the past year. It felt so good to get rid of it all. My junk is another persons treasure. Right? $437.75 worth of junk/treaures. It was fun getting up early at talking to all of the hard core garage sale groupies. (And let me tell you what there are a lot of them out there). The cool thing about it is everyone is happy and has a smile on their face. We had fun and now have some extra cashola for our California trip this summer.

The Comfy Chair

My sister has started her own business and I want to spread the word for her. Here is her blog about it and contact information. I have looked at a couple of her catalogs and the stuff is GREAT! All price ranges as well. My sister rocks! You go girl.

Okay, I am so excited to say I am finally starting my own furniture and accessory business. This has been a dream of mine for quite sometime. I love, love furniture and the way it can transform the feel of your home or office. The name of my company is "The Comfy Chair" and I will have a list of suppliers shortly. In a nutshell, I will take appointments to either come to your home or you to mine and search catalogs of my suppliers. The prices will be at wholesale plus 10%, shipping and state tax. When purchasing a sofa or chair, most clients want to "try-out" the piece to get a feel for it. Some of my suppliers do have show rooms in Az, which will give you an opportunity to experience the real deal. Just come back and order it from me at a fraction of the cost the showroom would charge.I hope you all tell your friends and family. I am so excited to start working doing something that I am so passionate about. My blog site for the company is www.laurascomfychair.blogspot.com. If you have any questions please visit my blog and leave a comment! www.laurascomfychair.blogspot.com

Chicken and Waffles

Abby and I went to California a couple of weeks ago for a basketball tournament that she played in. The team insisted on going to a place called Roscos that served chicken and waffles. I had never heard of such a combination. It rocked the house! The place was packed. We waited 2 hours for our table. Her team is pretty hard core when it comes to eating after a game. Well, lucky us they have a chicken and waffle resturant here in the valley. It is called LO -LO's. I have talked to some people who have eaten there and they give it 2 thumbs up. They say it is as good as Rosco's. So we are going to give it a try. Here are some pictures of the food. I will update you on how it is after we give it a try.

Josh

I have to post about my Josh. He has found a passion for karate and sparring. It was hard getting him to try this sport that I knew he would love. His best friend had been trying to get him to join for some time. His best friends mom even offered to give Josh $10.00 one day to go try a class. I finally got Josh to commit to try a class. Abby said she would go with Josh to his first class to help him not be freaked out. We pulled up to the place and Josh said he was not going to get out of the car. Well, wrong think to say to me. I threaten to go get the teacher and the class and have them come get him out of the car if he wasn't going to do it on his own. He was mad at me, but got out. I sped away before he could come chasing after the car. Well when I went to go pick them up he had a big smile on his face. He hopped in the car and said "Mom, I love this". I had no problem throwing the "I TOLD YOU SO" in his face. It is so fun to watch him do this. The cool thing is watching him earn the new color of belts. It makes him see that all of his hard work pays off. He has been doing karate for 6 months now and has been sparring for 2. Sparring is a bit like boxing but with kicking and not hitting the face. Okay, it's not like boxing at all. Josh I know you will be reading this post and I want you to know I am so proud of you!!!! I love you buddy!
